Last year, thousands of low- and moderate-income taxpayers and seniors in the Paterson area relied on IRS certified volunteers and interns to prepare and file their tax returns - For Free. You too, can offer invaluable help to those in need by training to be a greeter for the tax site.
Volunteers are needed in Paterson to bring this vital service to the community from Feb to April. Last year 30 volunteers and interns staffed sites around the city with daytime, evening and week-ends hours.
“One of the most interesting volunteer opportunities I’ve ever had. I know that I am helping others and really making a difference,” commented a volunteer after last year’s tax season.
No experience necessary. Bilingual (Spanish)preferred.
